Job Description
Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Indian Cook to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of Indian dishes, ensuring that they are of high quality, and meeting the standards of the restaurant. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes such as curries, biryanis, tandoori items, etc.
- Ensure that all food is prepared according to the recipes and the quality standards of the restaurant \xe2\x80\xa2 Monitor food supplies and ingredients and place orders as needed
- Ensure that the kitchen and cooking area are kept clean and sanitized at all times
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff as needed \xe2\x80\xa2 Maintain proper inventory of all kitchen equipment and tools
- Ensure that all food safety and hygiene standards are followed
- Proven experience as an Indian Cook, with at least 2 years of experience
- Thorough knowledge of Indian cooking techniques and spices
- Ability to prepare a variety of Indian dishes, including vegetarian and non-vegetarian options
- Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Certification in Indian cooking or culinary arts is preferred
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
