We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Income Auditor to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As an Income Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records by conducting thorough audits and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and local regulations.
Balance and audit all Front Office postings and settlements
Verify and monitor all hotel reports and night audit reports
Reconcile credit card commissions and food and beverage point of sale systems
Monitor front office rebates and review F&B voids for proper authorization
Prepare daily operational packages for management review
Assist with month-end closing and analysis of bank accounts
Prepare month-end income journal entries according to company policies
Report any discrepancies or issues to the Audit Supervisor or Accountant
Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
Assist in conducting surprise float counts and other accounting tasks as required
Stay updated on local financial regulations and standards in Dubai, UAE
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in income auditing or a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry
Proficiency in financial management software, including Sun System, Opera, Micros, and Vision
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, auditing procedures, and financial reporting standards
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with various departments and stakeholders
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in financial practices
Knowledge of local financial regulations and standards in Dubai, UAE
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
