GMG is looking for a skilled Import and Export Specialist to manage international logistics operations, including imports from the EU and exports across MENA regions. Based in Dubai, this role ensures smooth customs clearance, compliance with UAE trade regulations, and cost-efficient freight management across all transportation modes. Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end import and export operations, including documentation, customs clearance, and freight coordination.
• Oversee imports from the EU and exports from the UAE to MENA markets in compliance with regional trade laws.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, customs agents, and logistics partners to ensure timely shipments and delivery.
• Evaluate freight quotations and manage transportation costs across air, sea, and land modes.
• Ensure adherence to Dubai Free Zone Authority regulations and UAE import/export procedures.
• Prepare and verify commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and shipping documentation.
• Track and report shipment status while resolving logistics bottlenecks and exceptions.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams for continuous process improvement.
• Monitor and analyze KPIs related to logistics performance, cost optimization, and lead times.
• Support audits and compliance checks by maintaining accurate shipping records and transaction reports.
• Collaborate with finance for customs duty payments, insurance claims, and freight invoice validation.
• Contribute to automation and process improvement initiatives using data-driven analysis.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing international imports and exports, preferably within FMCG, retail, or distribution sectors.
• Proven expertise in UAE customs clearance procedures and free zone regulations.
• Strong knowledge of freight forwarding, Incoterms, and multi-modal logistics operations.
• Advanced skills in MS Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint for data analysis and reporting.
• Attention to detail and excellent coordination capabilities.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with external vendors and internal teams.
• Proactive problem-solver with an analytical mindset.
