Job Description
Verify all the instances and databases are running.
Check the backup status of the databases
Remotely - Job
.
Check the archiving of database logs and Housekeeping of database logs.
Check the db2 diagnostic logs and notification logs
.
Monitor the usage, performance, and availability of resources
.
Monitoring and optimizing the performance of the database.
Check the Windows event logs. Troubleshooting performance related issues. Check the database and database manager config parameters which might need a tuning as per requirements. Contacting database OEM for technical support as per need. User/access management as per need. Generating various reports by querying from database as per need. Apply patches/upgrades as released by the software vendor. Automating database related tasks as per requirements. Run reorg/runstats jobs as per need. Resource should be available for minimum of 4 hours daily between 8AM - 6PM GST. Any activities like upgrade/patching which needs to be done during off hours or weekends will be mutually agreed Resource will be working 50% of the time on this project and the remaining time be allocated on other projects.
