Job Summary (List Format) Senior Mechanical Technician
- Lead and supervise a team of mechanical technicians, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Oversee the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of marine engines, generators, transmissions, and related mechanical systems.
- Conduct inspections, diagnostics, and repairs to ensure optimum functionality and reliability of marine equipment.
- Dismantle, rebuild, and assemble mechanical components as per service manuals and established procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels, order spare parts, and manage supporting materials for maintenance activities.
- Advise users on correct maintenance practices and preventative measures.
- Maintain accurate logs, technical documentation, and prepare detailed technical reports.
- Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Provide technical expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and general machining processes.
- Perform maintenance tasks both indoors and outdoors as required.
- Support and mentor team members, ensuring a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Utilize MS Office and ERP systems for reporting, documentation, and communication.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Uphold safety standards and promote a safe working environment for all team members.
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or managers.
