Job Summary (List Format):
- Supervise and lead project teams for maintenance and overhauling of diesel engines, gearboxes, and generators onboard vessels and in workshops.
- Plan, conceptualize, and create electrical/electronic designs for new and existing projects.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve defects in electrical/electronic systems and equipment.
- Perform engineering calculations to support maintenance and repair activities.
- Create, review, and maintain technical drawings, reports, and specifications.
- Estimate project budgets and timelines, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Ensure all equipment, products, and maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations.
- Inspect, dismantle, repair, rebuild, and assemble engines, generators, transmissions, and other mechanical/electrical components.
- Test and adjust repaired systems and components to ensure proper performance.
- Maintain detailed documentation and technical reports to track project and maintenance progress.
- Represent the company in meetings and conferences, delivering presentations when required.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with staff, clients, vendors, and suppliers.
- Provide technical guidance, documentation, and support to subordinates and the workshop team.
- Monitor workshop tools and machinery, ensuring their upkeep and compliance with quality standards.
- Interact with customers to resolve technical issues and provide solutions.
- Work both indoors and outdoors as required by project or maintenance tasks.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronic engineering or related field.
- 3-5 years of engineering work experience, preferably with marine systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical and electronic engineering principles and systems.
- Proficient in circuit design, troubleshooting, and diagnostic techniques.
- Experience with engineering software (AutoCAD), MS Office, and technical documentation.
- Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and work overtime if necessary.
- Valid UAE Light Vehicle Driving License preferred.
- Knowledge of PLC programming, marine electrical/electronic systems, and electrical safety standards.
