About the Role

The Hygiene Supervisor is responsible for compliance with the production department to ensure proper workflow and a neat and hygienic work environment.

The Candidate

You will be an experienced Hygiene Manager or Supervisor, preferably from a food manufacturing background, and will hold Level 2 Food Hygiene Certification.

An accomplished leader, you will be able to work autonomously, have a hands-on approach, and will be comfortable working as part of a small team.

COSHH knowledge would be desirable.

Communication skills in English (written and oral).

Knowledge of Cleaning Processes, Chemicals Usage, Health & Safety

Responsibilities

Assisting with the maintenance of all hygiene schedules to ensure timely completion, reviewing these schedules, and carrying out monthly hygiene audits.

Ensure all operatives are appropriately trained, including the training of new and existing employees.

Review and improve hygiene best practices on site.

Monitor and ensure that all Hygiene Associates adhere to work instructions and procedures

Supervise the cleaning staff, monitor, and ensure the daily cleaning activities in the productions area

Train the cleaning staff on efficient cleaning procedures, SOP, chemical storage & handling, safety, etc.

Inspect the work area cleaned by the cleaning team

Ensure the cleaning process of equipment/production areas

Complete cleaning tasks effectively within the given time frame.

Manages the work schedule of cleaners and reallocates work to cover absences.

Conduct internal hygiene audits and coordinate with staff in the case of continuous improvement of facility hygiene

Weekly basis checks on cleaning chemicals, cleaning equipment, Personal Protective Equipment, and re-order.

Assist QC in Hygiene Audits from customers, Certification & Regulatory Authorities.

Ensure collection of waste generated from the production area and storing it in dedicated bins. Ensure the cleaning of the waste room and waste Bins periodically as per the Schedule.

Ensure Daily cleaning of the Factory surroundings and reorganizing the equipment.
