• Assist the Stewarding & Hygiene Manager to organize, coordinate, control and support all SFS / ISO 22000:2018 and DM Food code requirements
• Support Stewarding Department's activities
• Ensure the highest level of sanitation and hygiene standards in the hotel
• Ensure all food served to guests and employees is free of microbiological, chemical, and physical contamination, and all work areas conform to minimum requirements set by local health authorities
• Work closely with relevant Department Heads to facilitate excellent communication and ensure the realization of established quality standards
• Ensure segregation of all raw and cooked food procedures are strictly observed
• Monitor temperature logs of refrigerators, freezers, hot-holding units, and food items
• Investigate and report hygiene breaches and take corrective/preventive actions
• Ensure Food stock rotation practices are adhered to
• Conduct daily spot checks and audits to ensure all food safety standards are adhered to

• Has minimum 2-3 years of experience in food safety, hygiene, or quality assurance in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
• Attained Local Municipality Food Safety Training
• Has a Diploma or bachelor's degree in food safety, Environmental Health, Microbiology, Public Health, or related field
• Has relevant certification - HACCP, ISO 22000, or Food Safety Management System Certification
• Upholds professional values, ethics, and integrity at all times
• Communicates and writes with fluency in English
• Has strong interpersonal and communication skills
