Job Purpose:

The Water-Mining Division - Subsurface and Ground Water Quality is seeking applications for the position of Water Resources Professional. This position is an advanced professional position within the Mining sector Compliance Section of the Ground Water Quality Function in ADNOC. It is responsible for ensuring consistency and timely agency action regarding processing of discharge permit applications and issuing discharge permits through the evaluation of complex technical documents including; mining operational plans, groundwater and surface water abatement plans, environmental investigations and feasibility studies, reclamation closure plans and project management and regulatory oversight.

Job Specific Accountabilities: This position provides expertise in highly specialized technical fields of Geology, Hydrology, Geochemistry, Hydrogeology, or Chemistry Science for assessing appropriate actions for operations and closure of mining facilities and whether those facilities complies with their discharge permits. The person serving in this position is responsible for:

Reviewing all technical related applications,

Reviewing mine operations and closure plans,

Drafting permits,

Inspecting facilities,

Review water quality investigations and monitoring reports,

Overseeing corrective actions and abatement plans,

Reviewing remediation and reclamation of mining impacted properties, and

Maintaining organized and regularly updated paper

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate has a Bachelor (Preferred Master's) of Science in Geology, Hydrology, Geochemistry or Hydrogeology with experience in regulatory oversight and providing critical review and written comment on technical water resources documents. Specific skills and knowledge in dealing with technical data and interpretation. In addition, possess project management, mining operations, groundwater investigations, reclamation, closure design and oversight of remediation at complex mining facilities is preferred.

Minimum Qualification Bachelor's Degree in Geoscience Science, Hydrology, Geology Science, Water Resources, Watershed Management, and six (6) years of relevant experience. Substitutions Apply.

Key Accountabilities:

Data Management:

Performs the QA/QC of technical data, interpreted and/or processed by the service companies.

Supports senior geologist in data management activities including organizing and archiving of geophysical data and interpretation results in the corporate database.

Uses surface information and geotechnical data such as elevation (Onshore), bathymetry (Offshore), platform and facilities that will support well planning.

Provides feedback on well information and data completeness and readiness for the technical studies.

Studies:

Provides different depth structural realizations and estimates the interpretation uncertainties.

Contributes to the preparation of internal technical reports.

Participate in technical conferences and workshops, and contribute in publishing technical papers.

Generic Accountabilities Supervision

No supervision role but participates in team discussions in order to help the ream meeting the functional objectives. Budgets

Observe the required for the preparation of the Function / Division / Department / Section budgets, assist in the implementation of the approved Budget, and work plans to deliver business objectives.

Observe the investigation for any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control. Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

Implement approved Function/ Division/ Department/ Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the work programs in line with Company and International standards. Performance Management

Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Function/ Division / Department/ Section in line with the Company Performance framework. Innovation and Continuous Improvement

Contributes to the implementation of new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.

Work closely with the senior geologist in order to identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with best industry standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function. Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, applicable legislation, and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices. Reports

Provide inputs to prepare progress reports for Company Management.

Communications & Working Relationships: Internal

Daily communication with senior.

Occasional communication with the Team Leader and/or Manager External

Occasional contact with Shareholder representatives.

Occasional contact with consultants and service companies on new developments of tools and interpretation methods.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills: Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Geosciences (Preferred Hydrogeology Geosciences).

Experience & Knowledge & Skills

10 years of experience (Mainly Mining)

Worked in mainly on water aquifers, salt and brines.

Used in well-known industrial applications.

Exposed to different mining activities including data management, studies, and operations.
