Position Overview
AECOM is seeking a Hydrologic and Hydraulic Engineer in Dubai, UAE to support major transportation and urban infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver 1D and 2D hydrologic and hydraulic studies from concept through detailed design stages
• Develop, calibrate, and run models using HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, InfoWorks ICM, WMS and related software
• Conduct rainfall, runoff, and water balance assessments to establish design criteria
• Design potable water, sewerage, stormwater, irrigation, and firefighting networks using WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, FlowMaster, CulvertMaster, and HY-8
• Prepare detailed engineering calculations, technical reports, and design documentation aligned with project standards
• Coordinate with CAD and BIM teams to ensure accurate and clash-free 3D modelling integration
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and technical risks, proposing corrective measures when required
• Support multidisciplinary collaboration across geotechnical, environmental, structural, and transport teams
• Implement Water Sensitive Urban Design and Sustainable Drainage Systems principles in all deliverables
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the water engineering team

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Hydraulic, or Environmental Engineering
• Master's degree in Water Engineering or Hydrology preferred
• Minimum 4 years of experience in stormwater drainage and water infrastructure design
• Proven UAE or GCC experience with knowledge of Dubai Municipality and RTA guidelines
• Strong expertise in hydraulic modelling and drainage network design
• Excellent analytical and technical reporting skills
