Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Install HVAC systems including AC units, ducting, vents, thermostats, and related components. Conduct preventive maintenance on HVAC units to ensure optimal operation and prevent breakdowns. Diagnose and repair HVAC issues such as refrigerant leaks, compressor failures, faulty motors, thermostat malfunctions, and electrical faults. Inspect and clean coils, filters, blowers, ducts, drain lines, and condensers. Test system performance using gauges, meters, and diagnostic tools. Refill and handle refrigerants following environmental and safety regulations. Troubleshoot electrical control systems related to HVAC units. Respond promptly to service requests, breakdowns, and emergency repairs. Maintain accurate service records, reports, and maintenance logs. Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety procedures at all times. Coordinate with supervisors, building maintenance staff, and contractors for installation or major repairs.
Qualifications
Technical knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and refrigeration principles. Ability to read blueprints, technical diagrams, and service manuals. Skilled in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of HVAC equipment. Certification in HVAC or refrigeration (preferred). Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
