Position Summary:

The HVAC Technician will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems within a

data center environment

, ensuring optimal temperature, humidity, and air quality levels for critical IT infrastructure. The role requires technical competence, strong communication skills, and adherence to safety and maintenance protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform

preventive and corrective maintenance

of HVAC systems including AHUs, CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, split units, and FCUs. Monitor and maintain

temperature and humidity controls

to ensure data center environmental stability. Diagnose and repair HVAC mechanical and electrical faults promptly to minimize downtime. Perform

routine inspections

and maintain service logs and maintenance records. Coordinate with BMS/controls technicians for performance tuning and alarm monitoring. Assist in installation, commissioning, and retrofitting of HVAC equipment and control systems. Comply with

safety procedures

, risk assessments, and data center access protocols. Support emergency response activities related to HVAC system failures.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or HVAC Engineering.

Experience:

Minimum

3 years

of experience in

data center or critical facility HVAC maintenance

.

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of HVAC equipment, refrigeration systems, and air distribution systems. Basic understanding of

BMS, DDC, or PLC-based control systems

. Familiar with energy efficiency practices and HVAC load management.

Language Skills:

Good

English communication skills

(spoken and written).

Additional Requirements:

Ability to work in

rotational shifts

including weekends and holidays. Good teamwork, reporting discipline, and customer service attitude. Must hold a valid Qatar ID / ready for local transfer (if applicable).

QAR 2,700.00 / month
