HVAC TECHNICIAN
Job Title: HVAC Technician
Reports To: HVAC Supervisor or Operations Manager
Summary:
The HVAC Technician installs, services, and repairs heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. This role requires expertise in maintaining climate control systems to ensure customer comfort and system efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC/R systems and components (e.g., compressors, thermostats, humidifiers).
- Perform diagnostic tests and inspections to identify system malfunctions.
- Clean, adjust, and repair systems and perform warranty services.
- Replenish refrigerants and recover them in accordance with EPA regulations.
- Advise clients on how to maintain their HVAC systems for optimal performance.
- Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety and EPA regulations.
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain issues and recommendations.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a formal apprenticeship or technical school program in HVAC.
- EPA Section 608 Certification required (for handling refrigerants).
- Proven experience as an HVAC Technician.
- Knowledge of HVAC codes, refrigeration cycles, and electrical systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Valid driver's license.
