We are a leading industrial services company based in Abu Dhabi, specializing in the design, construction, and maintenance of various public projects. Currently, we have a significant project involving the replacement of ventilation units in pedestrian tunnels across Abu Dhabi city. To accomplish this task efficiently and effectively, we are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician with a strong background in ventilation works, particularly in underground tunnel environments. :
As an HVAC Technician specializing in ventilation for underground tunnels, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of ventilation systems in pedestrian tunnels. Your expertise will directly contribute to the safety, comfort, and optimal airflow within these tunnels. Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs of existing ventilation systems in underground pedestrian tunnels.
- Collaborate with the project team to develop and implement an effective plan for replacing the ventilation units in the designated tunnels.
- Install, test, and commission new ventilation units according to project specifications and industry standards.
- Monitor the performance of ventilation systems, identifying potential issues and recommending improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, ventilation codes, and industry best practices during all installation and maintenance activities.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubrication, and filter replacement, to maximize the lifespan and performance of ventilation systems.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including maintenance schedules, repairs, and equipment specifications.
- Coordinate with other technicians and contractors involved in the tunnel renovation project, providing technical support and guidance as required.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in ventilation technologies and industry trends, incorporating innovative solutions where applicable. Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience working as an HVAC Technician, with a specific focus on ventilation systems.
- Prior experience working on ventilation projects related to underground tunnels is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, including ventilation equipment, controls, and air distribution systems.
- Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex ventilation issues and implementing effective solutions.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, and codes related to ventilation systems in underground environments.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols when working in confined spaces or underground structures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with project stakeholders, team members, and contractors.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines without compromising quality.
- Valid HVAC technician certification and any additional certifications related to ventilation systems are an advantage.
- Fluent in English; Arabic language skills will be an added advantage.
