The HVAC & MEP Engineer is responsible for the design, coordination, execution, and supervision of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works, with a strong emphasis on HVAC systems. The role involves project planning, execution, site supervision, coordination with consultants and subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
:
Design, review, and supervise the installation of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
Evaluate and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, and other stakeholders for system integration.
Prepare and review HVAC load calculations, duct and pipe sizing, and equipment selection.
Monitor project progress and ensure timely execution within budget and quality standards.
Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues during execution.
Ensure compliance with local codes, standards (DEWA/SEWA/ADDC), and safety regulations.
Manage subcontractors and suppliers; evaluate their performance.
Prepare and submit method statements, material submittals, and shop drawings.
Provide technical support during commissioning and handover stages.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Certified in HVAC Design / MEP Engineering (preferred but not mandatory).
Knowledge of local authority regulations (e.g., DEWA, DM, ADCD, etc.)
Experience
: 5-10 years of proven Gulf experience in MEP contracting companies.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP (Hourly Analysis Program), and MS Office.
Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles, plumbing and fire fighting systems, and electrical basics.
