HVAC Engineer-Duties and Responsibilities
? Review project scope and technical specifications for equipment replacement, ensuring
compliance with design and standards.
? Conduct detailed site inspections to assess existing HVAC systems and identify
replacement requirements.
? Prepare method statements, work schedules, for planned replacement activities.
? Evaluate and select suitable replacement equipment (chillers, pumps, AHUs, FCUs,
etc.) based on performance, efficiency, and compatibility.
? Coordinate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors for approvals, shutdowns,
and smooth execution.
? Supervise dismantling and safe removal of old equipment and oversee proper
installation of new units.
? Ensure correct mechanical, electrical, and control connections during installation and
verify system integrity.
? Monitor testing and commissioning activities to confirm operational performance as per
manufacturer specifications.
? Enforce safety and quality control procedures throughout all phases of replacement
works.
? Maintain accurate documentation and reports, including inspection records,
commissioning data, and as-built drawings.
