Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking a qualified HVAC Engineer to design, install, maintain, and troubleshoot heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems for our facility. The ideal candidate ensures optimal indoor environmental conditions, energy efficiency, and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Design HVAC systems (ductwork, piping, chillers, boilers) in line with project requirements and building codes. Perform installation, commissioning, and testing of HVAC equipment and systems. Carry out routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure reliability and efficiency. Diagnose and resolve system faults, propose corrective measures, and optimise system performance. Work with other engineering and building services teams to coordinate HVAC works with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) scopes. Monitor system performance data, report on energy usage, and suggest improvements or upgrades. Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and regulatory standards in all HVAC engineering activities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Proven experience in HVAC system design and maintenance. Strong understanding of HVAC fundamentals, building services, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics. Familiar with relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, local regulations). Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Good communication skills and ability to liaise with contractors, vendors and other engineers.
