Job Description

Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate HVAC systems seamlessly into overall building designs and project plans. Provide technical support during the bidding and procurement process, including vendor evaluation and selection. Assist in preparing project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for HVAC-related activities. Conduct site surveys and inspections to verify existing conditions, ensure compliance with design specifications, and monitor installation progress. Oversee and guide installation teams to ensure adherence to engineering designs, industry standards, and safety regulations. Participate in the commissioning of new HVAC systems to ensure operational requirements are met and systems perform optimally. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to HVAC system performance, air quality, and mechanical malfunctions. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and programs for HVAC systems to extend lifespan and ensure continuous operation. Investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems and propose effective solutions. Ensure all HVAC designs and installations comply with relevant local and international codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, etc.). Prepare detailed project documentation, including design reports, calculations, as-built drawings, and operation & maintenance (O&M) manuals. Maintain accurate records of system performance, modifications, and maintenance activities. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in HVAC technologies, sustainability practices, and energy-efficient solutions. Identify opportunities for system optimization and implement innovative solutions to enhance performance. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers or technicians as required.
