Humanities Head of Department & Teacher

Job Location:
Madinaty, New Cairo.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Humanities department, providing strategic direction and instructional leadership to ensure high-quality educational experiences for all students.
Design, implement, and assess an innovative and comprehensive Humanities curriculum adhering to the Egyptian National Curriculum standards.
Support, mentor, and collaborate with Humanities teachers, promoting professional growth and a collaborative team culture.
Monitor and assess student performance within the department, using data to identify areas of improvement and drive student success.
Create and maintain a stimulating classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, discussion, and engagement in the social sciences.
Communicate effectively with parents, stakeholders, and the school community regarding departmental initiatives, student progress, and educational outcomes.
Collaborate with other departments to develop interdisciplinary projects and integrated learning experiences that enrich the curriculum.
Stay informed about current developments in Humanities education, advocating for best practices and innovative teaching methods.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Humanities, Education, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferable.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Humanities education, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of social sciences and history education, combined with expertise in curriculum design and pedagogical best practices.
Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of inspiring and developing teaching staff.
Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to foster productive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
Analytical skills to effectively utilize assessment data for instructional decision-making and enhancement of student outcomes.
Commitment to professional development and the promotion of a culture of excellence within the Humanities department.
PGCE Certificate will be a plus.
