Job Description


The purpose of the HR Officer role is provide people-centric HR solutions and advice on HR policies and procedures, managing employee relations cases, and providing an HR consultancy/generalist support to the business area. The primary focus of the role is to provide advice and guidance to line managers and employees, as well as to champion change, deliver the people strategy and advance our organisational goals to energies the organization for high performance, while promoting HR policy to ensure fairness and equity.
Responsibilities
To act as a trusted and expert advisor to management on a range of people related topics and HR practices in your countries of responsibility
To provide effective and timely support and guidance to management on people management practices, adhering to local employment law and maintaining best practice, and ensuring that people managers are empowered with the right tools and HR knowledge to run their day-to-day business
To manage the day to day generalist HR activities relating to the employee life cycle - including, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, engagement, and separation
To ensure the effective implementation of all HR policies, procedures and initiatives, with a focus on fairness and consistency, and contribute to the design, update and improvement of HR policies and initiatives in your area
To manage the local talent processes, ensuring Etihad hires the right talent and that our internal talents are being developed for future roles
To work closely with HR Services to drive an exceptional employee experience and excellence in our transactional services
To work closely with third parties, ensuring employee benefits are administered
To engage with the business on an ongoing basis to keep up to date with business needs and requirements
To drive change management initiatives driven by HR that impact the business and ensure appropriate communication and engagement plans with the business
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree is a must preferably in HR, Law or Business Management
Experience of advising on complex employee relations topics such as discipline, absence and performance
Experience of supporting HR activities across multiple locations or countries, including ability to build relationships and influence remotely and effectively
Experience of working in an organization which priorities talent and employee experience
Ability to interpret policies, research local legal requirements and provide solutions
Previous experience of a HR Business Partnering HR model and +3 years' experience in a HR generalist role
