*must be a US citizen willing to relocate to the Middle East About the Role Reporting to the VP of Administration, the HR Director will be responsible for all areas of Human Resources, including college recruiting, hiring and onboarding activities, L&D programs, performance management, comp & ben, employee relations, workforce planning, student mobility, and HR compliance. The incumbent must be a proactive, strategic thinker with the capacity to understand the critical importance of planning and program delivery, successfully balance competing values, and align recommendations and actions with the strategies of the university. Success in this position will rely heavily on awareness of the culture and environment of the university and the Division of Administration. This will be enabled by developing strong relationships across campus and fostering respectful communications and collaborations throughout the community of faculty, staff, and students. Key Priorities Business-first People Leader: Establish, build, and leverage positive working relationships with the COO, University President, and peers to provide organizational consulting and recommendations to ensure efficiency and optimization of people processes, tools, and technology to deliver on the university's operational and financial commitments. Assess & Shape the Function: Conduct full assessment of the People function, inclusive of strategy, structure, talent, and technology. Champion the organization's efforts to design and implement scalable HR org structures, processes, and tools. Develop an integrated planning view of HR projects & priorities. Talent Strategy & Execution: Evaluate and execute the Talent Management roadmap to scale and meet the needs of the university. Must be capable of managing internal resources as well as external vendor support. Cultivate memorable employee and student connections by focusing on the HR team being passionate brand stewards within the university. Culture & Values: Lead the university's efforts to create, implement, and integrate a leadership and employee behaviors framework. Lead collaborative efforts across the People function to integrate behaviors into the full employee life cycle, from TA & onboarding to development, engagement, and retention. Partner with the university leaders to foster, promote, and build cultural alignment and capability throughout the organization. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred 5+ years of HR leadership experience required (Manager-level and above) 2+ years of recent HR experience within the Higher Education field strongly desired Heavy preference for candidates with international experience; knowledge of Arabic culture and customs is a strong plus Mastery of the English language is required
