Job Overview: Manages, monitors and advises on all matters related to the safety and health of personnel and issues affecting the Health and Safety of personnel and the Environment during the Onshore Pipelines scope of work.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Maintain a full understanding of all current HSES policies and procedures.
Interpret regulatory requirements and monitor compliance.
Monitoring the correct level of manning for HSES activities is maintained.
Provide direction and leadership to the Site HSES Team
Be the point of contact for HSES matters during the Onshore Pipelines and Cables scope of work
Ensure that HSES training needs are identified, and training is effectively conducted.
Ensure that the performance of all subcontractors is monitored and evaluated through KPI\xe2\x80\x99s.
Conduct Accident and Incident Investigations through to Root Causes.
Assist with or facilitate all Risk Management activities as needed.
Assist with or facilitate all Audits and audit activities as needed.
Maintain annual activity plans.
Maintain the Contractor Action Tracking Register (CATR)
Ensure that efforts are maintained for continual improvement of HSES.
Mentor all HSES staff and SUBCONTRACTOR HSES Teams
Drive the BBSM and IIF process/program.
Other duties related to HSES function, as directed.
Ability to work as a team member as well as act as team leader.
Have wide experience with technical activities, including on and offshore operations.
Communication and presentation skills, both written and spoken.
Computer literate on Microsoft programs: Word, Access, Power Point, Excel, Project.
Be conversant with local and international HSE laws, regulations and norms. Must be experience in plant and vendor inspections of all types of mechanical equipment required in oil and gas installations.
Provide guidance to the SUBCONTRACTOR teams.
Facilitate the weekly HSES meeting and issue MoM.
Implement HSES Campaigns such as Beat the Heat.
Consolidate and issue Weekly and Monthly HSES Reports.
Essential Qualifications and Education
Total 12 years HSES experience in oil and gas industry
Degree / Diploma in Safety Management
Trained and experienced ISO standards lead auditor (9001, 14001 or 45001)
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Sharepoint) and other relevant online applications
Post graduate degree in health, safety or environment (preferred)
Membership with a professional safety institute such as IIRSM, IOSH, IEMA (preferred)
Six Sigma certified (preferred)
