Provides support and guidance in the implementation and monitoring of HSE / Quality Management Systems (HSE/Q MS) at assigned the company facilities to ensure employee safety, compliance with applicable company and governmental HSE regulations, and continual improvement. This includes:
Promotes sound HSE practices for the safety of personnel, protection of environment, assets and reputation by assisting each operation (area of responsibility) to assure quality and continuous improvement.
Leads, reviews and conducts Task Risk Assessment (TRA) and Method Statement (MS) for activities carried-out by the company or its contactors; follows up on the implementation of recommended control measures
Leads and/or participates in investigation of incidents (including near misses or actual accidents, as required) and recommend improvements to prevent reoccurrence promotes hazards near misses reporting. Advises management on implementation of necessary improvements and lessons learned to avoid recurrences
Reviews HSE related documents during pre-qualification and evaluation of contract bids and provides specialist input to address any gaps
Conducts training sessions as well as awareness campaigns to enhance staff capability and performance. Assists in continuous HSE improvements by identifying training needs.
Conducts HSE audits / inspections and recommends corrective action for continual improvement. Monitor the close-out of recommended corrective actions with stakeholders by maintaining relevant records.
Organizes and attends emergency drills at assigned facilities and recommends improvements in their emergency preparedness.
Support in carrying out internal quality audits of the company plant(s) to ascertain quality control in compliance with ISO standards.
Update Quality Risk Registers by discussing with all the company departments
Policies & Procedures
Follows all relevant Department/Unit policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled, integrated and consistent manner.
Develops and maintains strong communication links with internal and external stakeholders to meet legal and HSE regulatory requirements.
Health, Safety & Environment Performance
Reviews HSE performance and performing trend analysis as required.
Provides HSE performance reports to the management on required frequency.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety or Environmental Science.
Professional HSE qualification from a recognized international organization (e.g., CSP, NEBOSH, IOSH).
Certifications on Lead Auditor in HSE and Quality (advantageous)
Experience: 5-10 years of relevant experience in a similar role in the Health, Safety and Environment function preferably in a similar industry.
Experience in quality function will be advantageous.
