Job Description



JOB ACTIVITIES
  • Review HSE Plan, Procedures, Method Statement, Risk assessment for the project & all Health, Safety & Environment related documentation to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Conducts regular inspections of project& maintenance activities, and conduct incident investigations in accordance with legal requirements
  • Good knowledge of local requirements and regulations for Dubai Municipality and JAFZA Code of practices.
  • Ensure compliance by all project contractors to all relevant legislation and statutory requirements.
  • Monitor project activities and make sure that these are executed as per the HSE plan and procedures.
  • Develop & execute HSE intervention plan as safety inspection tours in project work areas, identifies potential hazards & recommended solutions, conduct audits and organize/participate in HSE meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with the company\'s objectives, requirements, priorities, policies, procedures, standards, rules, regulations and guidelines provided by Company from time to time.
  • Ensure strict compliance to Permit to Work System in the plant for all projects.
  • Making sure of the proper availability and working of safety equipment\'s.
  • Ensure attendance in weekly/ monthly project meetings and ensure all project relevant reports and documents are collected and updated on time.
  • Implement improvement & prohibition notice to contractors and set up recommendation & corrective action with the close out date and follow up the same.

  • Root Top Replacement
  • Finalization of Firefighting
  • Spot Cooling
  • New Filling Line Installation
QHSE OBJECTIVES AND ASSIGNMENTS :
  • To understand and adherence to the current regulatory requirements applicable to the areas of responsibilities.
  • Conduct regular audits and walk around to review the potential losses in the areas of responsibilities.
  • Reporting of near misses, incidents, hazards & injuries to line Manager within the time frame as required by
  • Quality, HSE & Energy policies and Manuals.
  • Strict adherence and compliance towards Group QHSE policy with high Quality of QHSE & Energy performance
  • and complying with affiliate\'s Quality, HSE & Energy Policies, Procedures & specific rules & regulations applicable to the area of activity at all time.
  • To contribute, meet and improve upon the KPI targets as set towards overall QHSE & Energy objectives.
  • Ensuring the strict use of PPE\'s in work area of responsibility.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES :
  • Maintain and Improve HSE performance through Loss control Objectives.
  • Implementation of Health, Safety and Energy Management System
  • Management of all plant HSE operations with well-defined risks and precautions known to all.

Qualifications / experience required

Knowledge:
  • Good safety knowledge in a Plant working environment.
Skills:
  • Should be an effective communicator.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously, reviewing work on a regular basis while consistently meeting objectives and the capabilities to meet tight deadlines.
  • Committed to working with all levels of management on a daily and ongoing basis.
  • A proactive approach, working effectively in coordinating activities taking professional responsibility in all matters. Punctual, attentive and competent in adhering to company policies, procedures and working practices
Experience:
  • Min 5 years working experience in HSE discipline involving monitoring of middle size projects
  • Should have extensive experience in managing people.
  • Should be able to coordinate the work with external contractors
  • Plant experience
Education:
  • Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering, an additional qualification in HSE shall be an added advantage
  • NEBOSH IGC Certificate, IOSH Certificate, should be Internal Auditor for QMS/EMS/OHSAS
  • OHS Practitioner Certificates
