Job Summary:

As the Safety Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the overall safety and well-being of our employees, customers, and assets within our furniture retail warehouse. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in safety management, hold a NEBOSH certification, and other relevant Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) certificates.

Responsibilities:

Implement Safety Policies:

Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety policies and procedures in line with local regulations and industry best practices.

Risk Assessment:

Conduct regular risk assessments and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures to mitigate risks.

Training and Awareness:

Provide safety training programs for warehouse staff, ensuring they are well-versed in safety protocols and emergency procedures.

Incident Investigation:

Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, documenting findings and recommending preventive measures to avoid future occurrences.

Compliance:

Ensure compliance with UAE safety regulations and international standards, keeping abreast of any changes in legislation and implementing necessary adjustments.

Emergency Response Planning:

Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures and first aid protocols.

Safety Audits:

Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to evaluate the effectiveness of safety measures and identify areas for improvement.

Safety Equipment and Gear:

Oversee the proper use and maintenance of safety equipment and personal protective gear.

Communication:

Communicate safety-related information to all levels of the organization, fostering a culture of safety awareness and responsibility.

Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, training sessions, and safety equipment inspections

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field. NEBOSH certification and other relevant HSE certificates. Proven experience as a Safety Supervisor in a warehouse or industrial setting. In-depth knowledge of UAE safety regulations and international safety standards. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to conduct effective training sessions. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Pay: Up to AED5,500.00 per month
