The HSE Representative ensures compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and promotes a safe working environment. Acting as a liaison between employees and management, this role focuses on hazard identification, risk mitigation, and fostering a proactive safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety Compliance & Monitoring:
Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits to identify hazards.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
Risk Assessment & Incident Investigation:
Perform risk assessments and recommend preventive measures.
Investigate accidents and incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Training & Awareness:
Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees.
Promote safety awareness and best practices across the organization.
Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain accurate safety records and prepare reports for management.
Document incidents, inspections, and corrective actions.
Emergency Preparedness:
Coordinate emergency response drills and ensure readiness.
Advise on emergency procedures and evacuation plans.
Communication & Collaboration:
Act as a liaison between employees and management on safety matters.
Participate in safety meetings and provide feedback on policies.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated on HSE regulations and industry standards.
Recommend improvements to enhance workplace safety and environmental compliance.
Qualifications:
Diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
Certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent preferred.
Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
