Sharjah Project
. The HSE Officer will assist the HSE Manager in implementing, monitoring, and maintaining all safety and environmental standards on-site, ensuring full compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Safety & Environmental Management
Support the HSE Manager in managing all Health, Safety, and Environmental matters on the project.
Monitor and assist in the implementation of the Project Safety & Environmental Plan.
Conduct safety inductions for all employees and subcontractors to ensure awareness of project safety and environmental requirements.
Organize and conduct regular toolbox talks to promote safe working practices and environmental awareness.
Carry out daily site inspections to ensure only safe methods of work are practiced.
Conduct regular inspections of plant, machinery, and equipment to verify compliance with safety standards.
Perform environmental monitoring and inspections at site and storage areas.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
Maintain and update project safety statistics and incident records.
Prepare reports on safety performance, trends, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Coordination & Compliance
Coordinate with project sections and site teams to ensure proper use of PPE and safety tools.
Monitor the implementation of the Environmental, Health & Safety Construction Management Plan (EHS-CMP).
Assist site teams in identifying and rectifying unsafe acts and conditions.
Coordinate with the stores to manage PPE inventory, issue, and maintenance.
Ensure all safety documentation and records are maintained in line with company management systems.
Promote a strong safety culture through awareness campaigns and consistent field engagement.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Occupational Health & Safety.
NEBOSH IGC or equivalent HSE certification (mandatory).
Minimum 3+ years of experience as an HSE Officer in construction or infrastructure projects (UAE experience preferred).
Strong knowledge of UAE Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
Excellent communication, observation, and reporting skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and safety management software.
Strong commitment to promoting and enforcing a safe work culture.
