Job Description

Key Responsibilities:



Safety Policy and Procedure Development:

Develop and implement comprehensive HSE policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. Regularly review and update safety policies to reflect changes in regulations and industry best practices.

Risk Assessment and Management:

Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement control measures to mitigate risks. Investigate incidents and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Compliance and Reporting:

Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, including OSHA standards. Prepare and submit required safety and environmental reports to regulatory agencies and company management.

Training and Education:

Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on HSE policies, procedures, and best practices. Conduct safety drills and exercises to ensure employees are prepared to respond to emergencies effectively.

Inspections and Audits:

Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of the manufacturing facility to ensure adherence to HSE standards. Identify areas of improvement and work with relevant departments to implement corrective actions.

Incident Response and Investigation:

Lead the response to workplace incidents, including accidents, injuries, and environmental spills. Conduct thorough investigations to determine the causes of incidents and recommend preventive measures.

Environmental Management:

Develop and implement environmental management programs to minimize the company's environmental impact. Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials in compliance with environmental regulations.

Safety Culture Promotion:

Promote a culture of safety by encouraging proactive safety behaviors and recognizing exemplary safety performance. Facilitate open communication about safety concerns and suggestions for improvement among employees.

Documentation and Recordkeeping:

Maintain accurate records of safety training, inspections, incidents, and corrective actions. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and readily accessible for audits and inspections.

Qualifications:



Education:

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 3-7 years of experience in a similar HSE role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Certifications:

Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH and OSHA etc. Approval from EGA will be preferred.

Knowledge:

In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety and environmental standards.

Skills:

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and training skills.

Attention to Detail:

High level of attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Interpersonal Skills:

Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization and promote a collaborative safety culture.

Working Conditions:



Environment:

Work is performed in both office and manufacturing plant settings, with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to conduct physical inspections, stand for extended periods, and respond to emergencies as needed.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,700.00 per month
