Job Description

The HSE Officer & Document Controller is a dual-role position responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site, as well as maintaining and managing all project-related documentation. The ideal candidate will promote a culture of safety while also ensuring effective document control processes that support regulatory and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities: Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):



Implement and monitor HSE policies and procedures in accordance with legal and company standards. Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments. Investigate incidents and near misses, document findings, and recommend corrective actions. Organize and deliver HSE inductions and training programs. Maintain records of safety meetings, inspections, incidents, and audits. Ensure availability and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Promote awareness of HSE practices through toolbox talks, posters, and daily briefings. Participate in emergency response planning and drills.

Document Control:



Manage incoming and outgoing documents, ensuring they are properly numbered, filed, and stored. Maintain project documents such as drawings, reports, inspection records, permits, and correspondence. Ensure version control and that only current and approved documents are in circulation. Coordinate with departments to ensure timely submission and review of documentation. Prepare documentation for audits and ensure compliance with ISO or company standards. Manage digital and physical document archives.

Qualifications and Skills:



Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. HSE certifications (NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) are highly desirable. Knowledge of document control systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 45001). Minimum 2-5 years of combined experience in HSE and document control roles. Proficiency in MS Office and document management software (e.g., Aconex, EDMS). Strong organizational and time management skills. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks. Excellent communication and reporting skills.

Working Conditions:



Work involves both site and office environments. PPE must be worn in designated areas. May require extended hours during audits, inspections, or project deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to AED6,000.00 per month
