Conduct risk assessments and identify potential hazards associated with work activities.
Recommend preventive and corrective measures to control and minimize risks.
Incident & Accident Management
Report, record, and investigate all incidents, accidents, and near-misses.
Prepare detailed investigation reports with corrective and preventive actions.
Safety Inspections & Audits
Perform routine site inspections to ensure compliance with company and client HSE policies.
Participate in internal and external audits when required.
Permit to Work (PTW) System
Ensure strict adherence to the PTW system for high-risk activities such as hot work, confined space entry, and work at height.
Emergency Preparedness & Response
Organize and participate in emergency drills (fire, evacuation, first aid, etc.).
Ensure staff are trained in emergency response procedures.
Training & Awareness
Conduct HSE inductions and toolbox talks.
Promote awareness of safe work practices and environmental protection.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of inspections, risk assessments, incidents, and training.
Submit regular HSE performance reports as required by management or the client.
Regulatory & Compliance
Ensure compliance with Qatar's local regulations and project-specific HSE requirements.
Liaise with clients, authorities, and third-party agencies when necessary.
Specialized Knowledge (Preferred):
Scaffolding, confined space, and work-at-height safety.
Hot work and electrical safety procedures.
Basic understanding of auditing and ISO 45001/14001 standards (preferred but not mandatory).
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Safety Management, or Environmental Science.
NEBOSH IGC or equivalent safety certification (mandatory).
Minimum
3-5 years of relevant experience
in HSE, preferably in
Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Construction
projects.
Good communication and reporting skills in English.
