We are seeking a qualified and proactive

HSE Officer

to ensure compliance with

UAE safety regulations

, project HSE standards, and international best practices across construction and/or fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing health, safety, and environmental policies to maintain a safe working environment for all employees, contractors, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Implement and enforce

HSE policies, procedures, and safe work practices

in line with UAE laws and project requirements. Conduct

site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits

to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions. Ensure compliance with

DDA, Civil Defense, and local authority regulations

. Deliver

toolbox talks, safety inductions, and training sessions

to site staff and contractors. Monitor high-risk activities including

confined space entry, hot works, work at height, and gas testing

. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare reports and corrective action plans. Maintain

HSE documentation

, permits, inspection records, and compliance reports. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure HSE compliance. Support

emergency preparedness

, fire safety drills, and first-aid readiness. Ensure proper use of

PPE

and adherence to approved method statements and risk assessments (MSRA).

Qualifications & Certifications

Bachelor's Degree in

Health & Safety / Environmental Science

or related field

NEBOSH IGC (Level 3)

- Mandatory

DDA Approved HSE Officer

- Preferred Authorized Gas Tester Training Confined Space Entry Safety Training Fire Safety & HABC Level 3 Emergency First Aid BTSP / IOSH / OSHA certifications - Advantage

Experience & Skills

Minimum

2-5 years of experience

as an HSE Officer in the

UAE construction / fit-out industry

Strong knowledge of

UAE HSE laws, regulations, and permit systems

Excellent communication, reporting, and training skills Ability to work independently and enforce safety compliance on-site

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
