Job Description

This role is responsible for ensuring strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards across all company operations, with a focus on project and site locations. The HSE Officer will implement safety procedures, perform risk assessments, and promote a strong safety culture in accordance with UAE regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and oversee HSE policies, procedures, and programs across construction and fabrication sites. Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and unsafe practices. Ensure adherence to UAE regulatory and legal HSE requirements (Dubai Municipality, Civil Defense, MOHRE, etc.). Prepare, update, and maintain all HSE records, reports, and incident documentation. Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions for employees and subcontractors. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and recommend suitable corrective and preventive measures. Monitor proper usage and upkeep of PPE, fire safety equipment, and emergency response systems. Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety measures into all construction and steel erection activities. Coordinate with external authorities during inspections and compliance audits. Support ongoing improvement of HSE performance and awareness throughout the organization.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. Certification: NEBOSH IGC (mandatory); additional certifications such as IOSH, OSHA, First Aid, or Fire Safety will be an added advantage. Experience: 1-3 years of experience as an HSE Officer in the construction or steel industry. Knowledge in: UAE HSE regulations and local authority compliance- Safety practices for construction and fabrication sites- Risk management, emergency preparedness, and incident investigation Skills: Strong communication, leadership, reporting, and training capabilities.
