Job Description

1. Safety Compliance & Regulation

Ensure the workplace complies with local, national, and international HSE laws and standards. Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies, procedures, and guidelines. Conduct regular inspections to verify compliance with HSE regulations.

2. Risk Assessment & Hazard Control

Carry out risk assessments and identify potential hazards in the workplace. Recommend corrective and preventive actions to reduce risks. Monitor the implementation of safety control measures.

3. Incident Management

Lead investigations for accidents, incidents, and near-misses. Prepare detailed incident reports and recommend corrective actions. Track and follow up on incident findings to prevent recurrence.

4. Training & Awareness

Conduct safety inductions for new employees and contractors. Facilitate HSE training sessions (PPE use, emergency response, safe work practices, etc.). Promote a strong safety culture through continuous awareness programs.

5. Site Inspections & Audits

Perform daily/weekly site inspections to ensure safe working conditions. Participate in internal and external HSE audits. Identify unsafe acts and conditions, and ensure timely corrective actions.

6. Emergency Preparedness

Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures. Conduct drills (fire, evacuation, medical emergency) and evaluate their effectiveness. Coordinate with emergency services when necessary.

7. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain HSE records, permits, safety reports, and audit documentation. Prepare monthly HSE performance reports for management review. Ensure proper documentation for inspections, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.

8. Environmental Responsibilities

Monitor waste management, pollution control, and environmental compliance. Ensure proper handling of hazardous materials. Support environmental protection initiatives and sustainability programs.

9. Coordination & Communication

Work closely with project teams, contractors, and management to ensure HSE compliance. Participate in project safety meetings and briefings. Ensure effective communication of safety requirements to all personnel.
