To ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards across all company operations, particularly at project and site locations. The HSE Officer will be responsible for implementing safety procedures, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a safe workplace culture in accordance with UAE regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs across construction and fabrication sites.
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify unsafe acts and conditions.
Ensure compliance with UAE legal and regulatory HSE requirements (Dubai Municipality, Civil Defense, MOHRE, etc.).
Prepare and maintain HSE documentation, reports, and incident records.
Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions for site staff and subcontractors.
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of PPE, fire safety systems, and emergency response procedures.
Coordinate with project teams to integrate safety practices during all construction and steel erection activities.
Liaise with external authorities during inspections or audits.
Promote continuous improvement in HSE performance and awareness throughout the company.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
Certification:
NEBOSH IGC (mandatory)
; additional HSE certifications (IOSH, OSHA, First Aid, Fire Safety) are a plus.
Experience:
Minimum 1-3 years of experience as an HSE Officer in the construction or steel industry
Knowledge:
UAE HSE laws and local authority requirements.
Construction and fabrication site safety practices.
Risk management, emergency preparedness, and accident investigation.
Skills:
Strong communication, leadership, reporting, and training delivery skills.
