Ensure compliance with local HSE laws, regulations, and company policies.
Develop and enforce site-specific HSE plans, procedures, and safe work practices.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HSE regulations relevant to the construction industry.
Site Inspections & Risk Management
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and hazard identification activities.
Evaluate risks and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety standards.
Incident Management
Investigate and report all accidents, incidents, and near misses.
Prepare incident reports and follow up on corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Training & Awareness
Conduct HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and safety training for all workers and subcontractors.
Promote awareness and best practices to foster a proactive safety culture.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate HSE records including inspections, audits, permits, and training logs.
Prepare and submit regular HSE performance reports to management and clients.
Emergency Preparedness
Develop and maintain emergency response plans and coordinate drills.
Ensure first aid facilities and firefighting equipment are properly maintained and available.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum
5-7 years of HSE experience
in
building construction projects
.
NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent HSE certification required.
Sound knowledge of construction safety practices, risk assessment, and local safety regulations.
Strong communication, leadership, and report-writing skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with site teams and subcontractors.
