The Health Safety Environment Officer will be responsible for implementing and managing health, safety, and environment (EHS) programs, ensuring compliance with occupational health standards, and maintaining workplace safety. Day-to-day tasks include conducting risk assessments, safety inspections, incident investigations, and developing safety procedures and training programs.
Core Responsibilities:
Supports the Top Management in the Organization roles and responsibilities definition, for what concerns safety aspects.
Monitors the effective implementation of appropriate Safety and Environment System procedures and provide for their updating in line with changes in Legislation and Company Directives.
Assists the Commercial, Engineering and Operations Department in their dealings with Clients in all issues concerned with Health and Safety at work.
Performs Risk Assessment.
Assures system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and system capabilities; confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.
To Complete the projects by training and guiding technicians.
To Carry out quality inspections on job.
To Analyze health and safety procedures, modify and maintain equipment for safety assurance.
To Carry out hazards assessment and investigate incidents.
To Provide safe cover by devising and implementing health and safety programs.
Mark hazardous areas with safety posters.
To make regular reports regarding the system performance and new developments.
To make PR (Progress report) after visiting construction sites.
Skills & Requirements:
Health & Safety, Environment Health and Safety (EHS), and Occupational Health skills
Workplace Safety skills and experience
NEBOSH certification
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Experience in the energy sector is a plus
Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred
