Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced

HSE Officer

with a strong focus on

Food Safety

for a temporary,

three-month project

in

Liwa, Abu Dhabi

. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations, with a particular emphasis on food handling and preparation standards throughout the project's duration. This role requires an individual who is immediately available and currently resides in the UAE.

Responsibilities

The HSE Officer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

Food Safety Compliance:

Implement, monitor, and enforce food safety protocols (

HACCP

principles where applicable) across all project catering and food handling areas.

Inspections & Audits:

Conduct regular inspections and audits of food storage, preparation, and service areas to identify and mitigate hygiene and safety hazards.

Documentation:

Maintain comprehensive records of all food safety checks, hygiene inspections, incident reports, and safety training sessions.

Training:

Conduct essential food safety and hygiene training sessions for relevant project personnel, ensuring awareness of best practices and regulations.

General HSE:

Oversee general project health and safety, including risk assessments, enforcing PPE use, and investigating minor incidents as required.

Reporting:

Prepare daily and weekly reports on HSE and Food Safety performance for project management.
Qualifications and Requirements

Experience:

Minimum of

one (1) year

of proven experience as an HSE Officer, Safety Supervisor, or in a similar role, with demonstrable exposure to and knowledge of

Food Safety

standards.

Education:

A relevant qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.

Certification:

Relevant certifications in Health & Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) and

Food Safety/HACCP

are highly desirable.

Location:

Must be available to start on October 25, 2025, and currently reside in the UAE.

Skills:

Excellent communication, reporting, and organizational skills. Proficiency in English is essential.

Attributes:

Must be proactive, detail-oriented, able to work independently, and willing to work in a remote project setting.
