Job Description

We are looking for an experienced HSE Officer.

Risk Assessment & Hazard Analysis

Identify potential hazards in maintenance operations (e.g., electrical, mechanical, chemical). Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and implement control measures

Safety Policy Development

Create and update safety procedures tailored to maintenance tasks like equipment servicing, HVAC, plumbing, etc. Ensure alignment with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards

Training & Awareness

Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and emergency response drills. Train technicians and contractors on safe maintenance practices

Incident Investigation

Investigate accidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions. Recommend corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.

Regulatory Compliance

Ensure adherence to local and international safety and environmental laws. Maintain documentation for audits and inspections

Environmental Management

Oversee waste disposal, chemical handling, and pollution control during maintenance work. Promote energy-saving and sustainable practices .

Site Inspections & Audits

Perform regular inspections of maintenance sites and equipment. Ensure use of PPE and compliance with safety protocols

Coordination & Communication

Liaise with maintenance supervisors, contractors, and regulatory bodies. Report HSE performance and improvements to management

Qualifications & Skills

Education

: Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Environmental) or Occupational Health & Safety.

Certifications

: NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, ISO 45001/14001 Lead Auditor are highly valued

Experience

: 3-7 years in HSE roles, preferably in maintenance-heavy industries like facilities management, oil & gas, or manufacturing.

Skills

: Strong knowledge of HSE regulations Analytical and problem-solving abilities Communication and leadership skills Familiarity with HSE software and reporting tools
