Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly knowledgeable

Senior HSE Officer

with a solid background in chemical manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on knowledge of HSE protocols specific to chemical environments including tank farms, resin plants, refineries, pump operations, loading bays, gantries, and drumming lines.

This role is critical to our safety culture and will be responsible for driving safety programs, ensuring legal compliance, conducting regular risk assessments, managing emergency drills, and overseeing all safety training across departments including security, labor, technical, and operational staff.

Key Responsibilities: Operational Safety:

Ensure necessary precautions are in place during:

Tanker operations

Drumming and packaging lines

Resin and chemical plant operations

Refinery sections

Pumps, loading bays, and gantries

Conduct thorough safety risk analysis related to chemical processes.

Training & Awareness:

Implement and lead

continuous training programs

for: Security personnel Contract labor Plant workers Engineers and supervisors Conduct

mock drills

,

evacuation procedures

, and

fire safety simulations

regularly. Ensure all employees are trained in

hazard identification and emergency response.

Fire & Explosion Prevention:

Fully understand root causes of industrial fires: Static electricity Electrical faults Gas leaks Develop

foolproof preventive mechanisms

. Maintain all

fire safety equipment

and ensure readiness at all times.

Compliance & Documentation:

Ensure 100% compliance with UAE Safety Laws & Regulations. Conduct

risk assessments

, hazard reports, feasibility studies. Maintain logs and generate reports of inspections, incidents, and corrective actions. Liaise with civil defense and other authorities for certifications and inspections.

Site & Equipment Management:

Conduct regular

site inspections

and safety audits. Ensure proper

installation and maintenance

of safety equipment. Oversee

safe disposal

of hazardous waste, including asbestos, solvents, and flammables.

Emergency Response & Coordination:

Coordinate with

fire departments

,

ambulance services

, and

rescue teams

. Lead

incident investigations

and ensure root cause analysis and mitigation plans are executed.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Strong operational understanding of

chemical and industrial processes

. Deep knowledge of

UAE labor laws and EHS compliance standards

. Expertise in

static charge management

flammable storage

, and

gas leak prevention

. Ability to write and implement

SOPs
