To develop and maintain the Company's HSE policies and procedures and ensure their proper implementation on job sites. To act as the feedback loop on the Health/Safety conditions present at job sites to the HSE Manager. Responsible for the development and update of HSE statistics.
Detailed Roles & Responsibilities:
Develops a safety culture among all workers to build joint responsibility between individuals from management to employee.
Thoroughly reads contract safety requirements and monitors the proper implementation of the Project Safety Plan.
Assigns responsibility and distributes work to site safety team. Ensures the implementation of the project Safety Plan by all personnel on site (including subcontractors and other third parties) Responsible for developing, implementing and auditing the following project specific Safety Requirements/Programs: a. Emergency and Fire Drill programs. b. Project safety induction program. c. Monthly Safety Award System. d. Safety devices calibration/usage program. e. Safety training program for staff and manpower (including tool box talks, physical training and third party training) f. Inspection program for all lifting gears and equipment (in-house and third party) g. Inspection program for firefighting equipment. h. Inspection program for subcontractor safety procedures and equipment's. i. Risk Response Plan
Approves the site selection and inspection of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other projects specific safety equipment/devices and monitors their usage on site.
Conducts weekly/monthly safety meetings on site.
Attends project progress meeting and contributes to the safety sections.
Prepares Project Management Safety Reports including statistics and summaries of training inductions and incidents.
Personally investigates site accidents and analyzes causes so as to provide management with a report including corrective and preventive actions.
Relays site injury incidents to Personnel department to meet procedural requirements.
Conducts frequent camp inspections (if applicable), rounds on site and shows regular physical presence on site.
Remains updated with the international and local rules and regulations.
Provides feedback to Business Unit management for developing the systems needed to compile and record the Company's safety statistics.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
Trains others to conduct in-house safety training workshops. Assists in the evaluation, training and development of personnel in the Health/Safety function.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Management.
Qualification Criteria
International qualifications like NEBOSH Diploma Level 6 or NVQ level 6 and having mandatory Nebosh IGC 3 (Old Format preferable)
ISO 45001: 2018 Lead Auditor certification.
Any Bachelor Degree with MOFA Attestation.
Experience Required
Minium 8 to 10 years full time HSE Professional role in construction industry or Production factory previously.
UAE Light Vehicle Driving License.
