Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and programs that ensure a safe working environment on all sites.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to assess risks, ensure compliance with regulations, and promote safety culture.
Identify potential hazards and risks in project activities and propose corrective and preventive actions.
Lead HSE training programs for employees and subcontractors, promoting awareness of workplace safety, environmental sustainability, and emergency preparedness.
Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents, and prepare detailed reports with root cause analysis and recommendations.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements for health, safety, and environmental standards in line with local and international standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001).
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate HSE requirements into project plans and execution.
Monitor and review HSE performance, preparing reports and metrics to share with management.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an HSE Officer, preferably in the infrastructure, civil, or power industries.
Strong knowledge of local and international HSE laws, regulations, and best practices.
HSE certification such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent.
Experience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and audits.
Ability to lead training sessions and foster a culture of safety on site.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field (preferred).
