We are looking to recruit an experienced HSE Officer to join Noorka. This role is responsible for the day-to-day operational safety activities in the assigned work locations, including conformity with safety procedures, daily inspections, and preparing relevant safety reports. Key Accountabilities:
  • Conduct periodic inspections within the assigned work location in accordance with the QHSE operation plan as per safety guidelines, checklist, and procedures and report any issues to the Head of Safety and safety team to resolve them.
  • Ensure the safety of ET premises and internal roads/routes through periodic inspections and audits.
  • Facilitate the implementation of HSE procedures and standards including ISO39001:2012 Road Traffic Safety.
  • Conduct route risk assessment to asses route plans prepared by the operational team for transportation activities to ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and/or Emirates Transport\xe2\x80\x99s requirements.
  • Monitor and follow up on all reported accidents or incidents associated with the assigned BU vehicles and/or Drivers/Monitors and occupational accidents and ensure necessary actions are taken by the concerned departments.
  • Participate in investigating BU traffic and occupational accidents and prepare a report including a preventive plan for each accident to avoid similar accidents in the future.
  • Inspect and audit the execution of all operational procedures to ensure that it complies with all safety standards as per legal legislations and manuals adopted to transportation activities.
  • Coordinate training programs for Drivers, supervisors, and/or Monitors.
  • Assist the QHSE Department in developing QHSE procedures related to the BU.
  • Ensure maintaining complete and accurate records of safety activities.
  • Participate in periodic meetings with the Head of QHSE in the BU, QHSE Department, and operation when required to report on relevant safety matters
  • Prepare periodic reports related to Safety including training schedules, accident reports, daily inspections, etc., and submit them to the Head of QHSE in the BU and the QHSE Department for review and recommendations.
  • Conduct training and awareness programs for Emirates Transport customers.
  • Conduct and participate in training and awareness programs, exhibitions, and events related to the safety of Emirates Transport customers.
  • Participate in conducting the Emirates Transport Award for Safety and Traffic Education in the zone.
Expected Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in related QHSE field or Business Management / Safety
  • NEBOSH IGC
Experience and Skills Set:
  • 3+ years of experience in a relevant field or transportation safety
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluent in English and/or Arabic Language
  • Proficient with MS Office and safety systems technology
  • Knowledgeable about safety UAE laws and regulations
  • Excellent report writing skills
