Qualifications & Experience:

NEBOSH IGC or equivalent HSE certification (mandatory). Minimum 5 years of experience as an HSE Officer in construction industry. Knowledge of local HSE regulations and international best practices. Strong communication and leadership skills. Proficient in incident investigation and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with company and client requirements. Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions. Ensure compliance with local regulations and international safety standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001). Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare reports and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented. Conduct HSE training, toolbox talks, and safety induction programs for new employees and contractors. Maintain records of safety audits, incident reports, and training sessions. Coordinate emergency response and evacuation drills. Promote a positive safety culture across the site and encourage proactive reporting of unsafe acts and conditions. Liaise with clients, consultants, and government authorities on HSE-related matters. Support management in continuous improvement of the HSE management system.
