Position: HSE Officer

Location: Site Base

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Perform routine HSE inspections to identify hazards, unsafe conditions, and non-compliance with approved safety procedures.

2. Ensure that all site activities are carried out in accordance with the company's HSE policies, method statements, and risk assessments.

3. Verify that all high-risk activities (e.g., excavation, confined space entry, lifting operations) are covered by valid permits and comply with control measures.

4. Record and report accidents, near-misses, and unsafe acts/conditions, and assist in conducting incident investigations to determine root causes.

5. Deliver regular safety awareness sessions, toolbox talks, and inductions to site personnel, ensuring they understand HSE requirements.

6. Ensure all workers and visitors wear the correct personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas.

7. Assist in implementing emergency response plans, participate in drills, and ensure readiness for fire, medical, and other emergencies.

8. Keep updated logs of inspections, incidents, training, and safety statistics for submission to the Project HSE Manager and corporate HSE department.

9. Report directly to the HSE Manager for policy alignment and performance reporting.

10. Any other related duties assigned by the HOD to ensure the overall success of the business.
