Job Description

The HSE Officer will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining health, safety, and environmental standards within the organization, in line with HACCP and local regulatory requirements. The role ensures compliance, risk prevention, and the promotion of a strong safety culture across all operations, particularly within food and beverage handling, storage, and distribution.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs aligned with HACCP standards. Conduct risk assessments, workplace inspections, and audits to ensure compliance with Qatari laws and industry best practices. Will be the focal point and oversee food safety compliance across production, storage, and supply chain processes aligned with the Ministry of Public Health Standards. Investigate incidents, accidents, and non-conformities, recommending corrective and preventive measures. Deliver HSE and food safety training sessions for employees at all levels. Maintain accurate documentation, records, and reports for regulatory inspections and internal audits. Support the development of emergency response plans and lead drills when required. Liaise with regulatory bodies, external auditors, and internal stakeholders to ensure ongoing compliance. Promote continuous improvement in health, safety, and food safety practices.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Food Safety, or related field. Minimum 3 years of proven experience in HSE, preferably within the Food & Beverage industry. HACCP with Train the Trainer Certification (mandatory). Strong knowledge of Qatar Labor Law, health, safety, and food safety regulations. Valid Qatar Driving License (mandatory). Excellent communication, training, and reporting skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent HSE certifications. Experience with ISO standards (ISO 22000, ISO 45001). Ability to work independently and manage multiple sites.
