Qualification:

Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related technical field.

Certification: NEBOSH

(IGC/IG) Certification mandatory.

Experience Level:

5-8 years in an HSE or similar Role with increasing responsibilities. For some sectors (construction, oil & gas, large infra projects)

Role and Responsibilities:

Ensure implementation and compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and regulations across all operations. Conduct risk assessments, site inspections, and safety audits to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, prepare detailed reports, and ensure preventive measures are enforced. Develop and deliver HSE training programs to employees and contractors to promote a culture of safety awareness. Monitor and maintain compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and local statutory requirements. Lead emergency preparedness activities, including fire drills, evacuation plans, and safety equipment checks. Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to safety performance, incidents, and corrective actions. Collaborate with project managers and department heads to embed HSE best practices in daily operations. Provide regular HSE performance updates and recommendations to management for continuous improvement. Promote a proactive safety culture by setting examples of discipline, accountability, and responsible behavior at all times. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential issues proactively. Leadership mindset: able to drive safety culture, influence others, and ensure compliance.
