Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments.
Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and training programs.
Monitor compliance with occupational health and safety laws, regulations, and standards.
Investigate and report on incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
Maintain up-to-date records of safety-related data, audits, and training.
Coordinate emergency response drills and procedures.
Provide guidance and training to staff on safe work practices.
Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely submission of reports.
Promote awareness and engagement in environmental and sustainability initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 2-5 years
of experience in a similar HSE role (industry-specific experience preferred).
NEBOSH
,
IOSH
, or
OSHA
certification required.
Familiarity with HSE management systems such as
ISO 45001
,
ISO 14001
.
Strong knowledge of local and international HSE laws and regulations.
Excellent communication, observation, and reporting skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
Incident investigation techniques (e.g., Root Cause Analysis)
Emergency response planning
Experience with permit-to-work systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software
