Hse Officer
Job Description
Inspect work environments to identify potential safety hazards.
Create and enforce safety policies and procedures.
Conduct safety training sessions and drills for staff.
Respond to accidents and conduct thorough investigations to determine causes and implement corrective actions.
Ensure that all practices are in line with legal and regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA)
Maintain logs of incidents, training sessions, and inspections.
Regularly audit the workplace for compliance and safety performance.
Skills and Qualifications:
Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Attention to detail and analytical thinking.
Certification such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or IOSH
A background in engineering, environmental science, or occupational health is often beneficial.
