Develop and Implement HSE Policies: Create and implement comprehensive HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines, in line with international, national, and regional regulations and standards (OSHAD).
Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments of various aviation operations, facilities, and processes to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and recommend control measures to mitigate risks effectively.
Incident Investigation: Lead and participate in incidents, (related to environment, facilities & occupational safety, and health) investigations, analyzing root causes, and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve safety and environmental performance.
Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver HSE training programs to employees, contractors, and other stakeholders, fostering a culture of safety, health, and environmental awareness throughout the organization. Can provide food safety trainings to cabin crew and those who are dealing with food services.
Emergency Response preparedness : Develop and implement emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, medical response protocols, and environment crisis.
Environmental Management: Oversee environmental management programs, including waste management, emissions reduction, and sustainable practices to minimize the environmental impact of aviation operations.
Safety Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and catering companies to identify non-compliance issues and ensure adherence to safety standards.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect and analyze HSE performance data, preparing reports and presenting key findings to management to drive continuous improvement and corrective action.
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including maintenance, operations, and management, to promote a cohesive HSE approach across the organization. Communicate HSE initiatives, goals, and performance updates to stakeholders.
Knowledge in Safety Compliance is preferable to Monitor and ensure compliance with aviation safety regulations.
Skills
Bachelor\'s degree (or higher) in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Aviation Management, or a related field.
Relevant certifications in HSE, such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or ISO 14001, 9001.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE roles within the aviation industry or related fields.
Previous experience in managing safety programs in an aviation environment is preferred.
Must have train the trainer from recognized institute.
Qualified auditor and fully aware of audit techniques.
In-depth knowledge of aviation safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
Familiarity with ICAO, FAA, and other relevant aviation authorities\' guidelines is highly desirable.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess risks and implement effective control measures.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey HSE concepts and requirements clearly to diverse audiences.
Proven leadership and management skills to drive HSE initiatives and engage employees at all levels.
Meticulous attention to detail to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Ability to adapt to changing regulations and industry practices and proactively implement necessary adjustments to HSE programs.
Proficient in using HSE software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools for data analysis and reporting.
Strong team player capable of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared HSE objectives.
Capable of conducting on-site inspections and being present during emergency situations when required.
