Chemical Manufacturing Plant - UAE

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Degree/Diploma in Chemical Engineering NEBOSH IGC (Full Certification)

Valid UAE Driving License

8+ Years HSE Experience,4+ Years in Chemical Manufacturing Plant

Key Responsibilities: Safety Compliance & Monitoring

Conduct daily toolbox talks and site safety inspections.

Enforce PPE usage and safe work practices at all times.

Monitor unsafe acts/conditions and guide workers accordingly.

Conduct hazard identification, risk assessment, and impact analysis.

Ensure Permit to Work (PTW) system is properly implemented.

Environmental & Chemical Safety Oversee effluent treatment (ETP, MBR, sludge) and maintain records.

Analyze flue gases from stacks and tanks using gas analyzers.

Monitor and control handling of chemicals and hazardous substances.

Emergency Preparedness Conduct firefighting and evacuation drills.

Ensure readiness of fire safety systems, first aid kits, and spill kits.

Train employees and Emergency Response Teams (ERT).

Training & Audits Plan and deliver HSE and ERT training programs.

Conduct internal audits (ISO 9001, 14001, OHSAS 18001, GMP).

Coordinate with third-party auditors and ensure timely corrective actions.

Incident Investigation & Reporting

Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents.

Identify root causes and recommend corrective/preventive actions.

Maintain documentation of all reports and audits.

General HSE duties

Inspect scaffolding, forklifts, spark arrestors, and electrical safety systems.

Ensure compliance with HSE policies, UAE laws, and international standards.

Maintain and review SOPs and HSE-related documentation.
